Sandy and Tanya Hutchens donate to Children’s Wish Foundation

Origins of the foundation

In 1983, the organization began at the kitchen table of volunteer Laura Cole. Originally granting fewer than 20 wishes a year, the foundation has established the capacity to fulfill upwards of 800 wishes annually.

The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada is extremely proud of the fact that it has never denied an eligible child a wish and that it has been able to fulfill some complex wishes. Both staff and volunteers work to grant wishes.

The organization credits hundreds of thousands of Canadians who have contributed their time, talents and money over the years to help us make wishes come true.
